Don't Just Measure It — Manage It
KPIs, Dashboards & Performance Conversations
Manager development focused on interpreting performance data, spotting trends, asking better questions and turning measures into constructive action with the team.
Recognise any of these?
- Dashboards are crowded with too many measures
- Teams report numbers without discussing causes
- Targets encourage the wrong behaviour
- Managers cannot see a problem early enough
- Performance meetings become status updates
- Nobody can explain what action a KPI should trigger
Your team works on the real issue.
- Clarify what a useful KPI needs to tell you
- Separate useful measures from vanity metrics
- Balance quantity, quality and timeliness
- Use leading and lagging indicators appropriately
- Redesign dashboards around decisions
- Turn numbers into questions and actions
Exercises, scenarios and practical work.
Useful outputs, not a folder of slides.
- Sharper KPI shortlist
- Simplified dashboard principles
- Decision-focused review questions
- Performance-conversation prompts
- Action-focused reporting rhythm
A complete team session, not just time in the room.
Managers, team leaders, operations managers and business owners
Suggested group size: 4–14 people. We can adapt the format where a different group size is more appropriate.
Before you book
Is this a lecture?
No. These are facilitated working sessions. Your people work on real workplace situations, decisions and challenges.
Can the session be tailored?
Yes. The pre-session brief is used to make the exercises relevant to your team and challenge.
What preparation is needed?
A short pre-session brief helps us understand the team, the challenge and the outcome you want. Where useful, bring existing process documents, examples or performance information.
Do we have to buy consultancy afterwards?
No. Every session is designed to create standalone value. You can take the outputs and implement them internally. If you want support afterwards, it is optional.
What happens after the session?
You receive the agreed outputs and a short follow-up check-in. If the issue needs deeper support, workflow audit, process optimisation and implementation support are available as an optional next step.
