Steadying the Ship
Helping Teams Through Change
A practical workshop for translating organisational change into honest communication, useful team actions and a clearer sense of what people can control.
Recognise any of these?
- Rumours fill gaps in communication
- People feel change is being done to them
- New systems reduce confidence temporarily
- Managers feel pressure to have all the answers
- Teams focus on decisions they cannot influence
- Roles or responsibilities are changing quickly
Your team works on the real issue.
- Explore why people naturally resist or question change
- Recognise uncertainty and loss of confidence
- Communicate what is known, unknown and still changing
- Involve staff without making false promises
- Reduce rumour and assumption
- Translate change into practical team actions
Exercises, scenarios and practical work.
Useful outputs, not a folder of slides.
- Change communication framework
- Control and influence map
- Team transition actions
- Manager conversation prompts
- Clear next-step commitments
A complete team session, not just time in the room.
Important distinction
This is a workplace change and communication session, not counselling or legal/employment-law advice. Formal employee-relations matters should follow the organisation’s HR policies and appropriate professional guidance.
Teams and managers experiencing restructures, new systems, process change, new leadership or changing responsibilities
Suggested group size: 6–18 people. We can adapt the format where a different group size is more appropriate.
Before you book
Is this a lecture?
No. These are facilitated working sessions. Your people work on real workplace situations, decisions and challenges.
Can the session be tailored?
Yes. The pre-session brief is used to make the exercises relevant to your team and challenge.
What preparation is needed?
A short pre-session brief helps us understand the team, the challenge and the outcome you want. Where useful, bring existing process documents, examples or performance information.
Do we have to buy consultancy afterwards?
No. Every session is designed to create standalone value. You can take the outputs and implement them internally. If you want support afterwards, it is optional.
What happens after the session?
You receive the agreed outputs and a short follow-up check-in. If the issue needs deeper support, workflow audit, process optimisation and implementation support are available as an optional next step.
